Biography

A little more about me

My Story

I grew up believing fitness was punishment. It took a decade, one burnout and a very stubborn barbell to learn it could be the opposite — a way to care for yourself out loud.

Two Lives, One Woman

By day I'm a successful lawyer — sharp suits, long cases, courtroom composure. Out of court I'm a weekend warrior and fitness guru who lifts heavy, runs far and coaches women to feel just as powerful as they do on their best day in chambers.

Fitness Journey

From bedroom bodyweight circuits to competitive stage prep and now coaching thousands of women, every phase taught me the same thing: consistency beats intensity, always.

Rescue at Heart

Strong women lift each other up — and the dogs come along.

When she isn't in chambers or under a barbell, Elara is at the dog park with her rescue crew — three pit bulls who went from shelter dogs to family. That love of second chances sparked Elara's World's Dog ResQ project: a directory of shelters with dogs ready to be adopted or fostered, so every athlete who visits can help a pup find its forever home.

Visit the Dog ResQ page to meet dogs near you who are waiting for their person.

Roots & Rituals

The same patience that builds a body grows a garden.

Off the clock, Elara is a hopeless plant person. Her balcony and backyard nursery are a tangle of Monsteras, fiddle-leaf figs, succulents and a row of bonsai she has been training for years. Pruning a maple is slow, deliberate work — not so different from progressive overload, she says. You show up, you make small cuts, and one day there's a shape you're proud of.

It's her favourite way to decompress after a long week in chambers: gloves on, shears in hand, nothing in her head but the next branch. Strength isn't only what you build in the gym — sometimes it's what you grow.
